The Sorrentine Peninsula is one of the most visited holiday resorts in Italy, famous for its splendid coasts dropping to the sea and its luxuriant vegetation.

Mountain biking  gives you the opportunity to explore the real and authentic places not affected by mass tourism and discover the off-the-beaten path of the countryside area that preserves the flavours of its secluded nature.

You will go biking among lemon and olive groves along mule-tracks and pathways, through chestnut and oak woods, far away from the main roads, noise and large urban centres enjoying the colours, tastes, perfumes and the traditions of our beautiful land.

You will have the opportunity to visit ancient hamlets with their country houses built centuries ago, which are evidence of past historical times.

An English speaking mountain bike guide will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the top of the hill of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Here you will start a mountain bike trip descending between breathtaking views that dominate the sea of the two gulfs of Naples and Salerno.

During the tour you will visit a typical lemon grove where you will have the opportunity to taste homemade lemon and orange marmalades served on homemade bread, fresh lemonade, extra-virgin olive oil plain or aromatized  with lemon, orange, basil, oregano, rosemary and hot chilli. At the end it’s time to taste the famous limoncello liqueur and learn the secrets to make it using an antique recipe.

  Skill Level

  Intermediate: This excursion is suitable for beginner and above riders with an average to good fitness level that engage in some form of regular exercise. Hills and descents are typically of short duration and longer steeper pitches can be easily walked. Trail surfaces will vary from paved roads to 4wd and easy singletrack with occasional obstacles on trail (rocks, steps, sand) that can be either ridden or walked.
